FrySpam Installation Help

Welcome to DBToGo FrySpam, the Spam stopper that you can train. It works differently to many other Spam stoppers. It fries (deletes) everything in your mail server inbox that is unknown. You tell it which emails you want to allow through.

To Start with, FrySpam treats everything as Spam. As you train it, it soons builds up a list of wanted email addresses. Any new ones are easy to spot and add to the list. Most people have a number of regular contacts, so it quickly becomes useful in weeding out unwanted emails. You can then open your email programme such as Outlook Express and only download wanted emails. This stops it becoming clogged up with Spam and saves you the trouble of having to delete them individually.

FrySpam displays the Sender, Subject and (optionally) the Size of the email. All this is in plain text. FrySpam does not download attachments or execute html,  the main source of a virus or trojan horse infection.

Installation

To install FrySpam on your PC, click  FrySpamX.exe  and select Run or Open. Click OK to any security questions.

If you have trouble opening or running the FrySpamX.exe file because your security blocks it, see FAQs or download  the zip version FrySpam.zip (click and select Save) and put the contents into the C Drive. Then run (double-click) FrySpam.exe in your C Drive.

Either method will install FrySpam on your PC, register the csmail.dll and put a shortcut on your Desktop.

The Settings page will open where you enter details of your mailbox name, login, server and password and other information.

Updating - FrySpam will automatically notify you of a new version, so restart FrySpam now to get the latest version.

Until registered, FrySpam runs in  Demonstration mode. It restricts you to one mail-box. It allows you to create as many rules as you like for wanted mail but only uses the top three rules in the list. You must purchase FrySpam before registering.
